Mathew Street Gallery
Specializing in photographs and artwork of The Beatles. Featuring the artwork of Klaus Voorman & the photography of Astrid Kirchherr and Robert Whitaker, responsible for some of the most iconic photographic images of the Beatles, taken between 1960 and 1966. The gallery opened to the public on 24th June 1999 and works by these artists are on display within a specially designed Gallery space in The Beatles Shop Mathew Street is at the heart of Liverpool. Home to the world’s most famous club The Cavern Club. A visited to the club is a must for any Beatles Fan and is just a few yards away from The Beatles Shop. With other sites such as The Cavern Wall of Fame and The First Beatles statue to feature The Beatles in Liverpool erected above The Beatles Shop plus The Grapes & White Star pubs both favorite’s of The Beatles during the sixties. Mathew Street is an essential stop on any fans visit to Liverpool
The gallery opened to the public on 24th june 1999 and was situated above the Beatles shop in the heart of Mathew Street - just yards from the original Cavern Club.
